The Brew Vol. 1: A Brand New Brew ☕

The Witches' Brew card found me about six weeks ago. This is the longest I've ever immersed myself in any card's energy, and I must say

She's a slow burn,

She requests fluidity,

And she's not willing to let me half ass SHIT.

I've considered myself a witch since I initiated into Ifá in 2021. When I came into contact with Witches' Brew, I was in no way under the impression that I somehow knew everything; witchcraft, Isese, and the like are intelligent practices, evolving and expanding with each practitioner. Therefore, I already recognized my practice as a lifelong commitment within which I'd be constantly growing, but not necessarily meeting the invisible finish line of total enlightenment and wisdom. That being said, nothing could've prepared me for the information, insights, and changes that awaited me and my practice when I first pulled this card. 

Since coming in contact, I've discovered that I'm a kitchen witch, I've started working with Hecate (a well-known Goddess of Witches), I've crafted spells for myself, and I've taken major steps in my career. Mind you, that's just the short list. 

Witches' Brew has asked me to lock in, look at the interconnectivity to everything, and be open to it. Every interest I've ever had, every singular occurrence happening in my life, every epiphany-she asks me to give it space, refusing to force or allow me to. For a while, at least three weeks, I was just trying to make a song for this card. That wasn't what it wished to channel through me. So I quit forcing and returned to my first love: writing. Which brings me to perhaps one of the biggest things to come out of this connection: The Brew. 

My intention with this weekly newsletter is to let you know what I'm working on, what fears/desires/memories/synchronicities are coming up, which social media platforms you can find me on, and more. You didn't ask for it, but I'm going to make sure you are well aware of what's brewing in my worlds (both the internal and external ones). So without any further ado, sit back, and let's sip.
